Hyundai’s i30 Sedan N Monochrome will debut in Australian dealerships next month as a limited-edition farewell to the current model, priced at $60,500 before on-road costs—a $5,000 increase over the base i30 Sedan N Premium with sunroof. Only 200 units will be available locally, matching the production run of its predecessor, the i20 N Shadow Edition, which marked the end of the smaller N hatch in mid-2026.
The Monochrome retains the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, generating 206kW and 392Nm, paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Hyundai Australia has limited the Monochrome to two exterior colors: Performance Blue, available at no extra cost, and Abyss Black Pearl, adding $595. Both colors come with 19-inch black forged alloy wheels and black-badged brake calipers, extending the dark theme to the front bumper, side sills, and rear diffuser. Carbon-fiber mirror caps and a rear spoiler further enhance the design, while the interior includes an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel and gear shifter, both finished in black.

Australia is among just three markets, Korea, Canada, and Australia, to receive the Monochrome. This special edition follows Hyundai’s N division tradition of using limited-run models to mark the end of a generation.
The i30 Hatch N, Hyundai’s first locally produced N model, remains the division’s top seller, responsible for over half of N sales. Meanwhile, the i30 Sedan N has held second place, outselling both the i20 N hatch and the combined total of the electric Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6. N models currently represent 4% of Hyundai Australia’s total vehicle sales year-to-date.
A next-generation i30 Sedan has already been unveiled, though its N variant will not arrive until the first half of 2027. The older i30 Hatch N is approaching the end of production without a confirmed successor, with remaining stock expected to last into 2027.
